QCMI-500-PROMO KIT (EDP#95117)
1/2" CARBIDE BAR WITH COOLANT HOLE & CPCM-2105-TR6 INDEXABLE BORING INSERT.
The Circle QCMI-500-8-5R (EDP#62036) is a multi functional, straight shank, indexable, right hand, 5 degree lead, carbide bar with an alloy steel shank and coolant hole that can be used in a variety of applications including boring, grooving, and threading. This bar has a 8.00" overall length, with a 1/2" shank, and a .545" minimum bore depth/ 5.000" maximum reach. Five CPCM-2105-TR6 inserts are included in the QCMI-500 PROMO kit, however this bar also accepts both threading and grooving inserts as well.
The Circle CPCM-2105 (EDP#66027) is an 80 degree, diamond, pressed chipbreaker, indexable type insert with a 1/4" I.C., .007 Corner Radius, and .075" thickness. In addition to the QCMI holder, this insert can also be used in the QCMI, QSMI, SCLPL,SCLPR, SCRPL, & SCRPR style holders. Surface speed should be run between 300-625 SFM/Feed rate between 0.010"-0.001" I.P.R.. Depth of cut per side is 0.002"-0.012".
TR6 is one of Circle's latest grades. It is able to run 25% faster than the Circle CG6 grade. TR6 is a C6, PVD, Ti-ALN coated grade which has been proven to perform exceptionally well in hardened materials such as colbalt chrome.This grade can be run at higher surface and feed rates and performs best in gooey materials and high temperature alloys.
